One of the fruits of this digital media age is the audio podcast. Once downloaded on your mobile device, you can listen and learn anywhere. Whether it be waiting for an appointment, between flights at the airport, jogging, or even driving, you can saturate your mind with any subject. How convenient!
Advantages of Podcasts:

  • Listen longer, as compared to reading (requires full attention, doing one thing)
  • Mulitasking: you can listen while doing other things
  • Quickly informed with latest news and technology in your field
  • Basically free to download

Disadvantages of Podcasts:

  • If there is code involved, may be difficult to envision and explain without actually seeing the code syntax
  • Unless you delete podcasts you have already listened to, audio files can fill up your mobile device memory
  • If audio not of high quality, may be difficult to listen too
